“Connecting Consumers & Providers”

Health 2.0 Accelerator

At the end of Health 2.0 in September 2007, CommerceNet’s Marty Tenenbaum proposed the creation of an industry initiative to accelerate the Health 2.0 vision. This initiative would do for Health 2.0 what CommerceNet did for e-commerce, educating and catalyzing the market through visionary integration projects that demonstrate the potential of Health 2.0 to improve people's lives. This first organizational meeting will forge a direction for the Health 2.0 Accelerator, exploring potential projects and organizational structures.

Come prepared to share your ideas about the need for a Health 2.0 Accelerator and what it should focus on: What are the problems that are preventing your technology or organization getting specific tasks done? What standards are needed to facilitate data exchange and mash-ups? What partnerships would make your services or products more valuable? How could a Health 2.0 Accelerator help? You can sign up or head here for more info.

Unconference

An "unconference" is a meeting where the participants drive the activity. There's no set agenda, no set presentations, but a series of discussions that people leave and join as they see fit. The unconference at Health 2.0 San Francisco was one of the most popular features of the day. You asked for more, so we're going to extend the time for it and have an unconference the afternoon before the main meeting.

At the unconference anyone can lead their own discussion. We will give you more instructions on the day, but essentially the topics will be introduced immediately before lunch, and then you can lead or join a small group table in discussing any topic you like. And if you don't like the discussion you're in? Then go start one of your own!

Sign up ahead of time and let us know what your topic will be.

Night Out Networking Event

Party – 6.30 to 9.30pm, on the rooftop at Hotel Ivy

Health 2.0 Spring Fling is having a fabulous "night out" party on the rooftop at the recently renovated and highly swank Hotel Ivy on Monday March 3. Hundreds of conference attendees will be feted, eat drink, mingle & network in a very fun environment.

Sponsored "Deep Dive" Exhibition

American Health

In a first for Health 2.0, we are going to have a longer format "deep dive" demonstration in which a particular Health 2.0 company shows its technology, discusses its business and introduces itself to the community.

We're really delighted that our debutant is American Well, which has fascinated us since we first saw the company late last year. American Well is a new healthcare marketplace where consumers and physicians can come together online, to acquire and provide convenient and immediate healthcare services. American Well extends traditional healthcare services to the home setting, using integrated Web communications and digital telephony.

We hope to bring you more of these sponsored "deep dive in future Health 2.0 conferences, but we invite you to come see the demonstration and meet Roy Schoenberg, CEO of American Well.
