3 CEOs are interviewed by top journalists in 15 minute segments about how their companies are transforming, and being transformed by, Health 2.0.
In 2007 Cyrus ruptured an eardrum and spent four painful days searching for a doctor, and realized how bad a problem almost everyone in America was having in accessing care. So he left his job doing health care consulting at McKinsey and decided to build the answer. We first featured ZocDoc at Health 2.0 back in 2008, when it was just getting going, setting up online appointment booking in Manhattan. Progress since then has been remarkable with multiple cities added, thousands of doctors signed up, and lots and lots of appointments made. Equally remarkably, ZocDoc has raised more than $95 million in venture capital, in part from famed Russian investor Yuri Milner. We’ll be hoping to find out what plans they have to spend it!
