In her role as Director of the Allscripts Developer Program, Tina helps organize, market, and manage the sale of new applications and integrations built by Allscripts vibrant developer network. This Fall Tina re-joins Health 2.0 to demo the numerous new tools Allscripts has introduced to the industry and will be leading a panel discussion sharing success stories of small companies that have made it big in our industry.

Lunch and Learn: Introduction to the Allscripts Open APIs

This informative session introduced attendees to Allscripts uniquely open APIs. Allscripts is a major EHR provider for more than 180,000 physicians and 1,500 hospitals across the U.S. Allscripts provided an introduction to its’ open APIs, demonstrated sample code, and answered any questions the audience had about joining the Allscripts Developer Program and partnering with Allscripts. Also included in this session was a preview of the Allscripts Developer Portal, which is unlike anything else in the health care IT industry.

Tina Joros of Allscripts announced the winner of the 2014 San Francisco Code-a-Thon Winner, QueueDr. A platform which aims to fill skipped or missed appointments using SMS text.

Allscripts Open App Challenge Pt. 1: Tina Joros, Allscripts

The Allscripts Open App Challenge, which awarded $750,000 to 20 applications, wrapped up earlier this year.  The competition lives on as a huge success and a model for other companies betting on “open” strategies.  We wanted to take the opportunity to share some insights gathered from the Sponsor and Winner of competition, and will be running a series of interviews with challenge participants over the next few weeks.

Kerry McDermott represented session sponsor West Health and opened the session “Big Data: Tools and Applications for Transforming Care.” Matthew Holt and Indu Subaiya moderated the panel of speakers who presented how their respective companies are addressing the integration of Big Data into physician work-flow, patient-provider communications, and extending the use of EMRs to transform health care. Speakers Colin Hill, Francois de Brantes, Lloyd Dean, Aaron Levie, Chalie Wiggins, Richard Roth, and Frank Williams were joined by demos from Allscripts, athenahealth, drchrono, Box, NotOnly Dev, Alere, and IBM.
