Faheem Ahmed: Patients 2.0: Choosing a Partner

Faheem Ahmed told the Health 2.0 community about his journey of finding his son treatment for his Fragile X diagnosis, and how he came to the Fragile X Research and Treatment Center of the MIND Institute.  Faheem launched CareCircles–an iPad app which supports those who care for those with Alzheimers, Down Syndrome, Autism and more by bringing family members, nurses and others into the care circle.

Unmentionables: From Getting Down to Moving on

First introduced two years ago, the Unmentionables covers those topics that aren’t talked about in health care and has quickly become one of our most popular sessions. That first year we covered childhood exercise, divorce and personal relationships. In 2011 we highlighted sleep, caregiving, money, suicide and work stress, with demos from Zeo on sleep, Mindbloom on community and mindfulness with GravityEight to bring it all together. This year we’ll visit even more unmentionables including an overview of the Vulnerability Index, poverty, sex and end of life issues.
