The new health care environment is continually moving into the hands of the individual consumer.  The New Environment for Better Health Care Decisions, co-moderated by Indu Subaiya and Matthew Holt, addressed the issues and benefits of the integration of consumer data with clinical experiences.  Ryan Beckland from Validic introduced the session as a sponsor. After gaining 30 pounds within a year of moving to India, Co-Founder and CEO of Healthify, Tushar Vashisht created the world’s first calorie tracker for Indian food.  HealthifyMe allows a person to track their meals and get information on the food they are consuming, thereby monitoring and balancing their intake.  Tushar previously helped initiate Government of India’s Unique ID (UID) project and has a background in investment banking spread between Silicon Valley, Wall Street and Singapore.
