Each speaker demonstrated innovative technology their workplace is developing to include forward-thinking into health care including: robotics, genomics, brain changes, and brain sensors.

Louis-Philippe Morency is a Research Scientist at the USC Institute for Creative Technologies where he leads the Multimodal Communication and Machine Learning Laboratory (MultiComp Lab). His research interests are in computational study of nonverbal social communication, a multi-disciplinary research topic that overlays the fields of multimodal interaction, computer vision, machine learning, social psychology and artificial intelligence. He shared his work with “Ellie,” a virtual interviewer specializing in facial recognition.  Ellie has the potential to help clinicians in diagnoses through quantifying human behaviors.
