Running a search engine and content site, an advertising network, and an enterprise software company probably interferes with West’s career as a kayaker, skier and fly fisherman. In the last couple of years, Healthline has become a health destination search engine and content site, an advertising network, and an enterprise software company that works with the likes of Yahoo!, Ask.com, US News & World Report, and UnitedHealth Group. While he’s a Health 2.0 regular, West specifically attended Health 2.0 this year because he’s partnering with both Aetna and GE. While Healthline has been building even more complex online products, they’re now interested in adding to their product lineup and potentially spending some of the $50 million they’ve raised. Healthline also added Yahoo! to its list of customers like Aetna, Ask.com, US News & World Report, UnitedHealth Group and GE, and has been building even more complex online products. They don’t seem to have spent much of that money they raised last year so we hope that West will tell us about his bigger plans for the future.
