Homero Rivas is an Assistant Professor of Surgery, and the Director of Innovative Surgery at Stanford University. He has been involved in mHealth for many years, Co-Founding multiple digital health companies, and advising to many startups. As a Glass Explorer from Google, he has organized several research projects using Glass and other wearables to improve safety in the operating room. At Health 2.0 Barcelona, Homero shared his perspective on integrating digital health tools into his practice and how providers are increasingly contributing to the patient safety movement.
