Anuj Desai presents the creative and collaborative work that the New York eHealth Collaborative is doing to build an data ecosystem that allows for collaboration of care. Anne Marie Biernacki illustrates the real life application of Desai’s work when her company applied SHIN-NY data and resources to medication adherence/comprehension problems.
In 2010, with the increased complexity of moving data, technological solutions linking data in different systems while tackling the thorny issues of privacy, identity, and permissions became more important.
This panel displayed some of those leading solutions and the many unplatforms it needs to connect with, including a demonstration of the 2010 Health 2.0 Accelerator Apps Network, which combineed 7 different technologies to solve the problems of care coordination in and outside of the hospital or doctor’s office. (UnPlatforms comprise the next frontier in moving data between web/mobile/ubiquitous internet connected devices).
