Steve Krein, Co-Founder, StartUp Health
Steve was at the first Health 2.0 conference with Organized Wisdom and has been around ever since. Today, he’s the Co-founder of StartUp Health; an academy for health and wellness entrepreneurship, which just announced its first class with support from CHCF and AT&T. Back in the broom years, Steve has been a member of the Young Presidents Organization since his days as CEO of Promotions.com, and is bringing some of that mutual support to Health 2.0 entrepreneurs.
Over the past few years, a number of incubators have burst onto the health care scene. It’s not always easy to begin the next start-up, and these programs offer the mentorship and funding needed in health IT today. The influx in these programs has contributed to a shift in the traditional venture capital model. During this session, we talked with leaders of some of the biggest health care incubators out there about this new and exciting landscape in Health 2.0.
